It’s a year today, 4th July since Steve and I took Dad down to Princess Marina House. He had been given a fabulous room with a sea view and a balcony, although for H&S reasons he sadly wasn’t allowed to use!! He had a fantastic week, brilliant weather, the staff looked after him brilliantly and he couldn’t wait to go again. His second visit was from 15th-25th November. Weather was obviously not so good at this time of year but Dad again had a lovely room with a sea view and received great care. Dad had just been diagnosed with lung cancer and was much frailer by now. The journey down had caused him some pain but the staff called out both paramedics and the On-Call doctor, both of whom spoke to us too. By the following day Dad was up, dressed and enjoying being thoroughly spoilt once more. Sadly he didn’t make a third visit but thank you so much to all the staff at Princess Marina House for helping Dad to add more lovely memories to the final year of his life. Dad I miss both you and Mum so much We love you forever Sue and Steve xxxxxx
